Mo Letters
David devoted himself to his writing and the leadership of the movement. As a religious leader, he was unique in shunning the spotlight, known only to his followers and the public through his writings. While the Children of God, and later The Family, rapidly expanded throughout the world, he remained behind the scenes, constantly teaching, advising, guiding, and at times chiding them, all the while applauding their efforts to take the Gospel and Love of Jesus by whatever means possible to a weary world.
David's primary goal in writing was to ground his followers in the fundamental teachings of the Bible, as well as the mission of his new movement. At the heart of his teachings was the unshakable conviction that the Love of God, as manifested in the Bible and the Person of Jesus, was the solution to every human need.
